Maintenance grooming largely depends on factors such as breed, coat type, home care, lifestyle, etc. a recommendation for your pet’s specific needs will be discussed with you directly.
-
Yes. Removing mats takes more time, more care, and more wear on our equipment. When matting sits close to the skin, we have to work slowly to avoid nicks, irritation, or clipper burn, so the safest way to remove it is often a short shave.
Matted coats are also hard on our tools. Mats trap dirt, dander, and debris that dull clipper blades much faster than a clean, brushed coat. Pushing through dense matting makes blades heat up quickly, so we stop often to cool them, and switch to backup blades for your dog's comfort.
Regular brushing at home and staying on a consistent grooming schedule is the best way to avoid matting fees.

Currently I estimate around 4 hours for most appointments, but this can vary according to your pet’s temperament, coat condition, etc. as well as the nature of working with live animals.
A time estimate will be given to you at drop off. -
No. Dogs often get more excited or anxious when their owner is nearby, which makes it harder for them to settle and stay still. That can make the groom take longer and increases the risk of nicks or injury. Most dogs relax and do best once their owner leaves, so we ask that you drop off and we'll let you know when they're ready for pickup.
-
Sometimes. For dogs who get stressed during hand drying, or for certain breeds and coat types, a cage dryer can be the calmer option. We only use low or no heat and monitor your dog the whole time.

Please give your dog a chance to go potty before you leave home. There's limited space around the salon for bathroom breaks, so taking care of it ahead of time helps. We understand dogs will be dogs, and we're happy to provide waste bags if you need them. If your dog goes outside the salon or in the lobby, please clean up after them.

I don’t know much about that, but I do think it may be a sign for you to book with me!
